Director, Tampa Training Center - Transformed existing division into a customer-driven, market focused operating entity for domestic and international clients. Doubled revenues within first two years. Achieved eight continuous years of high profitability. Annual revenues exceed $8M per annum. Responsible for a professional staff of 60 highly motivated individuals. Training Center included various aircraft types such as commercial, private business, helicopter, and military aircraft trainers. Developed multimedia classroom capabilities and generated PC based courseware products for the International marketplace. Developed and implemented various software programs for scheduling, invoicing, and other business applications. Identified business opportunities, lead proposal development, and headed negotiations to win same. Expanded and maintained network of overseas representatives and contacts to promote training programs worldwide. Customers represent 40 nations and include US Coast Guard, US Air Force and US Navy and various commercial carriers.
Business Development - Developed strategic plans and identified business opportunities in the commercial airline, US military, entertainment rides and international military and civil airline business segments. Activities included market analysis, customer liaison, technical/price proposal generation and presentation, and final negotiations.
Program Management - Over 15 years in project engineering and program management positions. Achieved the world's first joint international simulator accreditation for Ansett Australia in February 1992. Held program management responsibilities for both international airline and US military flight simulators. Contract values ranged from $5M to $25M. Management responsibilities included budget, schedule and technical performance. Coordinated activities of 50 to 100 engineers and programmers.
Engineering - Actively engaged in software engineering through 1990. Principle simulation activities included aerodynamics, rotor dynamics and visual motion cuing systems. Initiated simulation designs for search and acquisition tracking radars for low level anti-aircraft point defense systems.
